Блюзовый период

Peter Green стал широко известен, когда John Mayall пригласил его в Bluesbreakers на замену Eric Clapton. Где-то через год Peter Green решил создать собственную группу, куда взял Mick Fleetwood (ударные) и John McVie (бас) из Bluesbreakers, а так же гитариста Jeremy Spencer. В 1968-м был выпущен первый альбом "Peter Green's Fleetwood Maс" и приглашён ещё один гитарист – Danny Kirwan.
В конце 1960-х Fleetwood Mac играли пост-психоделический блюз-рок, который отлично иллюстрируют баллада "Black Magic Woman" (сделавшая знаменитым Carlos Santana) и их первый суперхит, инструментальная композиция "Albatross", отметившаяся в январе 1969 года на первом месте в Великобритании и, по признанию George Harrison, вдохновившая The Beatles на написание "Sun King".
Группа быстро завоевала аудиторию и в Европе и на родине блюза. К 1971 году гитарно-блюзовый состав Fleetwood Mac прекратил существование.

Box set содержит весь материал группы блюзового периода 1967-1969, записанный на лейбле Blue Horizon.
